Penny and Dave headed off to Europe in April 2010. As well as sightseeing in France and visiting Bernadette and Liz in the Channel Islands, we bought an old 107 year old barge. We will use it to explore France and possibly the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and other parts of Europe.
People here are mad about fishing- particularly in the canals. Many of them spend many thousands of dollars on huge carbon fibre rods and associated equipment and we rarely see anything longer than a few centimetres actually caught. We have seen some large dead fish floating along with other dead animals. We sure would not eat anything out of these canals!
The Kerr adventurers are off again. After several forays into the Pacific, we are off to Europe to explore the Canals and Rivers of several countries- starting in France given that two of our daughters live in the Channel Islands, close to the Coast of France.
